Topic: This presentation will include information on the recognition of stroke symptoms and the diagnostic process for evaluating stroke patients. Both ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke will be covered. Insights on stroke treatment as well as primary and secondary prevention measures will be shared.

Speaker: Dr. Friedman is an award-winning neurologist who has been recognized for his accomplishments with the Tuality Community Hospital Stoke Center, a clinic that he has founded and directed since 2010. Dr. Friedman received his M.D. from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio in 1997. He earned a B.A. in Biology from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1993.

Dr. Friedman is an active community servant who volunteers for Project Access, an organization that provides free neurologic care to uninsured patients and lectures on a number of subjects to both the professional and lay community. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Society of American Magicians

Dr. Friedman enjoys performing as a Magician at children’s events and during lectures. His other interests include spending time with family, reading, board games and stand-up paddle boarding.
