Topic: Addressing Polypharmacy: Reducing the Risk of Falls – presenter Dr. Backus will discuss several types of medications that increase the risk of falls in the elderly. She will also discuss some strategies to reduce medication-related falls, and answer questions the audience may have.
Speaker: Danielle Backus, PharmD, BCGP is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Pacific University School of Pharmacy. She is a board certified geriatric pharmacist and maintains a small practice with Providence ElderPlace, a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly.4
