Topic: Veterans Benefits – This training will educate community providers about general eligibility for VA healthcare and services. Attendees will learn about the three branches of the federal Veterans Administration, the process of enrolling in VA healthcare, costs of outpatient care at VA, and various services and benefits that may be available to Veterans and their families.
Speaker: Yvette Arey, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 years of experience in healthcare settings including inpatient hospitals, Dialysis Clinics and Hospice facilities. She has worked at the VA Portland Healthcare System since 2007 and is currently the SW Supervisor for the Primary Care Division. Yvette supervises 14 social workers stationed at seven Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC’s) in Portland, Vancouver, Salem, Fairview (Gresham), West Linn, Hillsboro and Bend with approximately 65,000 Veterans receiving primary care services at these CBOC’s.

Parking Instructions – Three options are: 1) park in a back lot on the corner of SE 30th Avenue, between SE Washington and SE Alder Streets; 2) park directly on Stark Street or 3) park in the Laurelhurst Village front parking lot, whichever is available and most convenient.
