Topic: A team-based approach to working with seniors with a mental health diagnosis

As time progresses, we have likely all noticed an increase in seniors who have been diagnosed with a mental illness. Long term success depends on our approach and utilizing the appropriate resources. We will explore a team based/person centered approach to supporting these individuals in an effort to increase the likelihood of long-term success.


Speaker: Kim Decker, Mt. Hood Senior Solutions. Kim has worked in the social services field for over 25 years, 12 of those years Kim has been finding housing for seniors and other vulnerable adults. Kim has experienced vicarious trauma directly and has a passion for bringing awareness to this subject. Kim has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and an MBA in healthcare administration.
