Synopsis: Kim Decker, Mt. Hood Senior Solutions will be presenting on vicarious trauma/compassion fatigue and the effect on caregiver’s and those who work in helping professions. Kim will provide an overview of Vicarious Trauma, how to recognize signs and provide tools to combat compassion fatigue that results from Vicarious Trauma.
Speaker: Kim has worked in the social services field for over 25 years, 12 of those years Kim has been finding housing for seniors and other vulnerable adults. Kim has experienced vicarious trauma directly and has a passion for bringing awareness to this subject. Kim has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and an MBA in healthcare administration.
