Speaker:  Jessica Fishman, MSW, LCSW, Senior Manager/Providence Hospice 


Speaker Bio:

Jessica is a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience in mental health, end-of-life, and grief care across home, community, and interdisciplinary medical settings.  Jessica has spent over 17 years in hospice, serving both at the bedside and in leadership roles, guiding teams in providing compassionate and exceptional care to patients and families. She also serves as the Director of Camp Erin, providing clinical and administrative leadership to a bereavement camp for youth ages 6-17. Outside of work, Jessica can be found exploring the boundless natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest with her 7-year-old and two dogs.  


Title: "Goals of Care:  What Qualifies Someone for Hospice Care?"

 

This presentation will provide an overview of hospice eligibility guidelines, explore common challenges and barriers in determining eligibility, and highlight key signs that a patient may qualify.

 

It also offers practical strategies for introducing hospice care to patients and families, and exploring their goals, with compassion and clarity.
