Title: "Coping with Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma"

In the demanding field of healthcare and caregiving, professionals often carry the emotional weight of those they serve. This presentation will explore the personal and professional challenges that arise when working with individuals facing serious illness, including compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and moral distress. We will examine the emotional toll of sustained exposure to suffering and explore practical strategies for recognizing signs of burnout, protecting your mental well-being, and sustaining a meaningful and resilient career. Attendees will leave with tools to help maintain compassion without sacrificing personal health, and guidance on how to continue caring for others—without losing themselves in the process.
