Speaker bio:  Dr. Almira Ko

Dr. Almira Ko is a doctor of podiatric medicine serving medical foot care to the greater Portland Metro area since 2000.  For the last 25 years, she continues to provide maintenance foot care to older adults as a house call doctor at homes, adult care homes, skilled nursing homes, independent living, assisted living and memory care facilities.  Since Portland, Oregon is her childhood city and home for many years, she loves serving the community.  Outside of work, she cares for her elderly mother, enjoys raising her son, working out in group classes at the gym, assisting her husband, the Scoutmaster of Troop 208, and participating in supporting volunteer work for HOPE (Honoring Our Precious Elders)  through the Sunset Athletic Baseball Club.

Topic:  "The Most Common Foot Issues in the Aging Population"

The objective of this lecture is foot education from childhood up through aging elders for understanding common foot issues especially in the aging population.  Awareness of these conditions will serve to better prevent and help those in need of addressing these issues.
