Topic: "Exploring Hope at End of Life: Navigating Goals of Care"Conversations about end of life are complex, and for patients and families it can be a very overwhelming and confusing time. Also, health care providers may feel unprepared or uncertain about these conversations. This presentation will discuss how to explore, reframe, and transform conversations around hope, fear, and meaning. We will review tools and techniques to help integrate whole person care, grief support, and compassionate curiosity into goals of care conversations.
Bio: James Knoll, LCSW, is a Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the field of Hospice and Palliative Care. Presently, he is on the clinical education team at Providence Hospice where he develops and presents content for new and current staff.
