Speaker bio: Brandy Penner, Elder Pride Services Program Manager, Friendly House

Brandy is passionate about working towards a safer and more just world for all. She holds a BA in Sociology/Social Work and experience in public service as an elected official, campaign manager, people organizer, and advocate.

Brandy's smile and tenacity reflect her deep empathy and understanding for those whose voices are often unheard. As the program manager of Elder Pride Services, she channels her experience and passion into serving LGBTQ+ older adults, making a tangible difference in their lives.

When she's not making a difference in her professional life, Brandy is a devoted parent to three teen children, a massive dog, and a curious cat. Her love for travel, adventure, the outdoors, and a comforting cup of black tea with honey are just a few of her favorite things.

Topic: "LGBTQ+ Older Adult Issues and Experiences"

Brandy will speak to the issues Friendly House are seeing in participants and how Elder Pride Services strives to address them. Topics include access to affordable housing, combating isolation, state-wide advocacy, and the creation and impacts of Senate Bill 99.
